Elemental

All four elements of nature - fire, wind, water and earth - live in a segregated society (where it's stressed that they "don't mix") so when fiery Ember Lumen (voiced by Leah Lewis) is placed in charge of her father's bodega and the pipes break and the basement is flooded, she has to partner with aquatic city inspector Wade Ripple (Mamoudou Athie) to help save it from being shut down (due to multiple violations) ... and they start to catch feelings for each other (ooh, forbidden love!).  Although it can be overly sentimental at times - Wade and his family are literally teary-eyed liberals while Ember's are more conservative (and temperamental) - this is a solid animated effort from Pixar, with absolutely vibrant animation and excellent voice over acting: it speaks to the immigrant experience (Sohn's mother and father were from Korea) and the need for families to let their offspring choose their own destiny.  Plus, any movie that informs children about the evils of bureaucracy - and sneakily teaches them some science facts - can't be that bad.
