Two women with the same name (Louisa Krause and Mary Holland) end up dead in Buckland County, New Mexico, so police officer (and widower) Jordan Sanders (Jon Hamm), with the aid of Deputy Reddy (Nick Mohammed) and nosey/neurotic Rita (Tina Fey), investigates ... and it involves failed business owner Jay (Micah Stock), who (for whatever reason) came into possession of illicit photos of minors.  It attempts to be this Coen brothers-style "black comedy" with its small town shenanigans and "quirky" approach to violent deaths but fails (the tone is all wrong and it isn't funny) before tying up everything "neatly" with a ditzy clerk providing valuable information and leading the authorities to the killer (who conveniently leaves a key item on a table).  But I wonder: did Ms. Fey agree to do this after finding out the plot involved a sandwich shop?
