Professional thief Nemo (Willem Dafoe) is hired to break into the apartment of an art collector to swipe three paintings by Egon Schiele but there's a malfunction and he's trapped inside - the room becomes progressively hotter as he tries to find a way out, he's low on food, it then gets colder and he starts hallucinating.  It's hard to go wrong with an actor like Dafoe in what's a basically a one-man show, but it doesn't even attempt to explore his character's background (with the exception of a story of his childhood) and would rather watch him slurp ice from the freezer, defecate in piles and writhe in pain.  There's also the question about the "technologically-advanced" flat: surely if you're storing millions of dollars' worth of modern art in a penthouse there would be better safety measures set up (or at least some backup power) ... and it's implausible the alarm that goes off (and, later on, the sprinkler system) doesn't draw any kind of attention from the staff or security.  If it's trying to be an "allegory" ... get the heck out of town.
