Architect David (George Clooney) and his ex-wife Georgia (Julia Roberts) - who still harbor animosity towards each other - have to travel to Bali to convince their only daughter Lily (Kaitlyn Dever), who recently graduated from law school, to not marry the seaweed farmer (Maxime Bouttier) that she fell for in approximately three seconds.  The main reason to watch this (aside from the lovely shots of Australia, subbing in for Indonesia) is to see our Cary Grant and Emma's Aunt banter with one another for two hours because the rom-com setup is extremely basic and requires "tricks" to keep it going: Lily's parents steal the wedding rings to delay the ceremony, play Beirut (while drinking heavily), take a boat to Tanah Lot only to lose it and have to spend the night outdoors, etc.  Naturally, "true love" prevails ... but I'd like to revisit the "happy couple" in five years' time: I bet a salary from that firm in Chicago could buy multiple beach houses....
