Calvin (Asa Butterfield), who thinks he's dying (but is quite healthy - he just had a rough break early on in his life), goes to a support group for people who do have cancer and has a chance meeting with peppy - but terminally ill - Skye (Maisie Williams) and she enlists him to clear things off her idiosyncratic 'bucket list.'  If you thought The Fault in Our Stars was shameless in its use of cancer-as-teen-drama, this one goes even further: not only does every utterance they have Maisie say revolve around her condition (in case the viewer has the memory of a goldfish), it has amateur woodworker Calvin build her a frickin' coffin in a move that's supposed to be 'endearing.'  The filmmakers have Ken Jeong and Briana Venskus (as police officers) and Tituss Burgess (as a gay flight attendant) in there for 'light fun' (cough) and Nina Dobrev as the (improbable) 'love interest,' but the begging for tears is pretty lame.
