Ant-Man and the Wasp

Director: Peyton Reed
Year Released: 2018
Rating: 1.0

Former criminal Scott/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) teams back up with Hope/The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) and her father Dr. Pym (Michael Douglas) to get Pym's long-lost wife Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer) out of some glowing, quantum-world - there to disrupt things are the Feds (naturally) and almost super-villain Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), who can go through walls. The Marvel movies are pretty much almost-hit or complete miss, and this fits neatly into the latter category - director Reed and Rudd are there to keep things 'light' and 'amusing' but the jokes thud hard (Zot!) and the "plot" is paper-thin (Ooof!): I'd bet the promotional team spent more time designing the poster than anyone spent working on the script. Disney can keep cranking these out at a record pace, but it's only time before audiences wise up ... although they haven't for well over a decade now (Sigh!).
