Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland

Director: Lev L. Spiro
Year Released: 2016
Rating: 0.0

Made-for-the-Internet cash-grab by the gang that made cult TV show Blue Mountain State about a college football team that does as much partying as playing sports: here, one of the team's star players, Thad Castle (Alan Ritchson), gets drafted into the NFL and is given millions, so his old teammates - especially quarterback Moran (Darin Brooks) - lure him back to their old frat house (with a huge party) to convince him to buy it. I was never a major fan of the show but at least some episodes were a bit smart and covered timely topics such as concussions and hazing: this isn't about football at all and mostly an excuse to try to be as transgressive and silly as possible (technically it succeeds, with its 'jokes' about huffing jenkem and getting sodomized by a goat).
