Red Riding: In the Year of Our Lord 1980

Director: James Marsh
Year Released: 2009
Rating: 1.5

Part two of the Red Riding trilogy is more of the same: grizzly murders, corrupt police force, backstabbing, darkness. Paddy Considine is the lead in this one, and like Andrew Garfield's intrusive 'journalist' in the first part, he has a lot to hide himself: it's only time before his fellow officers turn on him for being too nosy. Light and justice has no part in any of these films: it's nihilism passed off as truth.
