Atrociously miscast Andy Garcia can't get his new novel published (because his story ideas suck, I take it), and is so desperate to financially support his nagging wife (Julianna Margulies) and child he gets a job as a male escort ... and his very first client is the world's most famous author's trophy wife! And the most famous author ... is dying and wants Andy Garcia to help him finish his final novel! And the topic of the novel ... is the same as Andy Garcia's rejected work! (Isn't it fascinating how those things work out in movie land?) Totally preposterous from beginning to end - and, naturally, the scenes of a moping Garcia having guilt-ridden sex (the very worst kind) with Olivia Williams are juxtaposed with Margulies (and child) looking lonely and sad (her character isn't very bright, either). James Coburn and Mick Jagger are both pleasant and engaging, but they aren't nearly enough.
