Eating Raoul
Director: Paul Bartel
Year Released: 1982
Rating: 1.5
A cult favorite, though I can't tell why. In fact, this is terrible film, amateurish, slow, meaningless and unfunny (unfunny to the point where you get uncomfortable for the actors). The delivery is clunky, as is the direction; as a satire, it fails: its topic is far too easy and simple (perversion = bad, bad = deserves to die). There's nothing remotely shocking or entirely original about it; almost every scene has someone trying to rape Mary Woronov.
