Having a tough time coping with the passing of her mother Ally (Allie McCulloch), elementary school student Amber (Bianca Belle) draws violent pictures in her notebook, which disturbs her widowed father Taylor (Tony Hale) and therapist, but as it turns out there's a "magical pond" near their house where Ally and her brother Jack (Kue Lawrence) discover (by accident) that if you place the drawings in the water, they're brought to life and start to attack people. This was produced by Angel, Inc. (not to be confused with Evil Angel), which has historically made "Christian-themed" movies, and while there isn't any religious preaching, it's a "family values" movie for (exclusively) children with a crude understanding of psychology: the "monsters" from Amber's psyche manifest themselves in reality and they can be "dealt with" using diluted dish detergent and fire (which I don't recall reading about in my college-level course material, but so be it). It's basically one long 'gimmick' - which Worley "expanded" from a short film - although at least it has a sense of humor, and I have a feeling if impulsive irritant Bowman (Kalon Cox) was in my classroom we'd have gotten along just fine.
