Naval officer Leon K. Prudhomme (Jamie Foxx), who's known by the name "Bokushi," started a special training regimen (referred to as "The Program") for soldiers with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) but it seems he's gone completely rogue, so Nash (Scott Eastwood), one of his former students, is asked to bring a stop to him - and rescue his wife Evoli (Nora Arnezeder) - before the Feds appear and ruin everything (which they tend to do). Casting Foxx, Robert De Niro and John Leguizamo to be in the movie isn't the worst move ... except the result is a debacle: the dialogue and voice over are considerably worse than most genre fiction and the scenes don't flow together, making the entirety of it unintentionally laughable. The topic is timely and deserves a lot more attention paid to it ... but wait: babies are being branded and Jamie's singing Curtis Mayfield! And then there's a Mortal Kombat-style fight followed by a flood and more explosions!
