Off-kilter Rickey (Angarano) reunites with anxious friend Glenn (Michael Cera), who is about to become a father for the first time with his wife Rosie (Kristen Stewart), and convinces him (through trickery) to go on a long drive (in an old Chrysler convertible) from Los Angeles to Sacramento, which Rickey claims is to dispose of his late father's ashes but is actually for him to visit with his former lover Tallie (Maya Erskine, Angarano's real-life spouse). As far as low-key buddy road movies are concerned it's passable, although it really has to do with Millennial Male fears over "growing up" and taking responsibility - even the tough ladies they meet at a bar, single mom Arielle (AJ Mendez) and Jess (Iman Karram), are comparatively more mature. It's all done with a minimum of effort, and Glenn's "kidnapping" a baby at the conclusion is quite daft, but at least it isn't desperate enough to try and make it something "larger" than it is ... you know, like the history of Jewish individuals in 20th century Europe.
