Twelve-year-old Georgie (Lola Campbell) tries to live by herself after her mother passes away and steals bicycles (and other scrap metal) for money - she successfully evades a completely clueless Social Services department - but when her biological father Jason (Harris Dickinson) reappears, the two clash.  From the very beginning it strains credibility (at that age I couldn't do anything) and it's rather shameless in its plea for audience sympathy - Georgie scrolls through old videos of her mom and cries plus she herself has a hearing disability (that the movie neglects to address).  Even the attempts at "humor," which include several side characters breaking the fourth wall, don't really add much brightness to it, and it remains yet another exhausted working class indie about the residual effects of trauma.  A proper ending would have Jason taking his little thief to Ibiza to "sell tickets" ... at least there are beaches there.
