Fiery film director Tomas (Franz Rogowski), who's married to printmaker Martin (Ben Whishaw), has a romantic encounter with schoolteacher Agathe (Adèle Exarchopoulos) and then moves in with her (she eventually becomes pregnant with his child), but when Martin begins a relationship with writer Ahmad (Erwan Kepoa Falé), Tomas starts to think he made a mistake. Despite decent performances by the cast, it never felt genuine to me and more of a series of plot contrivances - Tomas doesn't explain why he wants to go back into the proverbial closet (he's not exactly father material), and there's an overwhelming sense of 'biphobia' that I'll leave to those in the LGBTQ+ community to debate/discuss/hiss at. It would have been nice to know about these individuals as humans instead of just focusing on their sexuality, and the only person I felt pity for is Agathe, who got in the middle of a bad situation (even though her mother warned her).
