Pakistani Muslim Ria (Priya Kansara) dreams of working as a stuntwoman like her hero Eunice Huthart - and has no interest in being a doctor (which is what her parents want) - and puts her athletic abilities to the test when her art school dropout sister Lena (Ritu Arya) is set to be married off to successful geneticist Salim (Akshay Khanna), who she suspects of having a "dark side," and she has to rescue her. The comic book style (which was no doubt inspired by a certain Edgar Wright movie) keeps things "lively" from a visual point of view, but it has a very strong anti-male perspective (imagine the opposite!) where we're supposed to "root" for Ria to dismantle a relationship and sabotage her sibling's happiness ... only to "confirm" her suspicions were correct once it's revealed he plans to impregnate his wife with a "clone" of his own mother (which is so weird even Oedipus would faint). It's not just mean-spirited but also simple-minded: history has shown many female artists had spouses and were able to "thrive," including Niki de Saint Phalle, Lee Krasner, Georgia O'Keeffe and Helen Frankenthaler.
