Post-modern James Bond (there's even a comic-relief "Q" here), only this 007 designed the video game he just so happens to be the star of. Joke-intensive action parody with Vin Diesel as an X-Games star turned super hero; he outraces an obviously fake avalanche with the skill of Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid and pulls off impossible aerial maneuvers on a motorcycle with the grace of a digitized Jeremy McGrath. Italy's warped supervixen Asia Argento is the love interest, but it isn't about love of the other, it's about love of the self, and Diesel's always out for Diesel. Goofy, exciting, funny (gotta love the souped-up GTO Diesel and Argento have to operate at the end: it comes with its own instruction booklet and gratuitous American flag parachute) - it's my idea of a guilty pleasure.
