Black Adam (2022) review

The country of Kahndaq is under military occupation by the crime syndicate Intergang and their leader Ishmael Gregor (Marwan Kenzari), so they resurrect Teth-Adam (Dwayne Johnson), an anti-hero with superpowers, to fight on their behalf ... but the Justice Society, consisting of Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Dr. Fate (Pierce Brosnan) and newcomers Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell) and Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo), drop by to intervene.  For the folks at DC, this is a rather mindless Superman clone - Eternium is Adam's Kryptonite - and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but the producers just toss a ton of special effects at it and hope no one's paying that much attention.  Mr. Johnson is a charismatic fellow - and very charitable in real life - but his character isn't interesting: at least the Man of Steel has the Clark Kent side to his personality....
