Incredible But True
Director: Quentin Dupieux

Alain (Alain Chabat) and his wife Marie (Léa Drucker) purchase a new house and are told by the realtor there's a magical duct in the basement that, if you go through it, time moves forward twelve hours but you age backwards three days; elsewhere, Alain's boss Gérard (Benoît Magimel) has his actual phallus replaced with a robotic device (that "feels real" ... apparently, and can be controlled with an app on his phone) but he "damages" it while falling at a shooting range. For the director, who typically tries to come up with the most absurd idea he can think of and sees where it will take him, this is a surprisingly somber movie about aging (like 2019's Deerskin): Marie is driven insane trying to become a teenager again and Gérard's robo-dong explodes and he runs his car off the road. "Find peace with getting older" is a reasonable message but it's too reductive: there's nothing wrong with using a little bit of technology to keep wrinkles away (or if your doodle needs a "pick me up") and many people would embrace shaving a couple years off. You just need self-control and moderation.
