Ye olde Moby-Dick ... for the little ones: the Royal Navy sends out sailor-hunters - which include Captain Crow (voiced by Jared Harris), Jacob (Karl Urban), first mate Sarah (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) ... and pesky stowaway Maisie (Zaris-Angel Hator) - to kill giant sea creatures, but when they come up against the gargantuan Red Bluster, they have a difficult time fighting her. It's nice to hand children stories about putting an end to generational violence ... but none of this is even new or original (Melville doesn't even get a writing credit), the storytelling isn't that efficient and the characters seem yanked from other movies (Red reminds me of Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon and Blue is like Stitch). The entire movie is essentially a child giving a load of speeches and eventually managing to sway a backward and ignorant crowd to take her advice: it's not all that plausible, but I'm also not the intended audience. Yar.
