In late 70's Houston, producer Wayne (Martin Henderson) wants to shoot an adult film with performers Maxine (Mia Goth), Jackson (Kid Cudi) and Bobby-Lynne (Brittany Snow) along with director RJ (Owen Campbell) and sound girl Lorraine (Jenna Ortega), but the elderly couple renting them the farm to shoot the movie have a real problem with them being there.  Back in the day, we were scared of serial killers and unkillable mass murders hunting us down, but this newish trend of horror movies shows what the kiddos are most scared of is the body itself breaking down into wrinkles and dark spots and lumps of flesh: geriatric nudity is the new terror.  But unlike someone like Tarantino, who is able to pull from cinema's junkier past and transform it into something uniquely his, all West can do is take Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Hitchcock's Psycho, Kubrick's The Shining (along with multiple pornos) ... and regurgitate them.  Which is what I imagine the alligator will do when it's finished with Ms. Snow.
