Marry Me

Director: Kat Coiro
Year Released: 2022
Rating: 1.0

Singing sensation Kat Valdez (Jennifer Lopez) is planning a tour with her fiancé Bastian (Columbian musician Maluma) but breaks it off when she sees footage of him cheating and impulsively "marries" middle school math teacher (and single Dad) Charlie (Owen Wilson) who's in the crowd.  This might be a cathartic experience for Lopez - who's been known for having a rocky love life (as of right now, February 2022, she's apparently back with Ben Affleck) - but for everyone else it feels like they're going through the motions: naturally the two main characters "bond," then get to know one another, then Wilson's character has second thoughts, they separate for a bit and then she rushes back to him (because it's "true love" and not a "business transaction").  There's also too much singing ... and not enough Sarah Silverman.
