Last Survivors (2021) review

"Supposedly" the planet has undergone World War III and Troy (Stephen Moyer) and his son Jake (Drew Van Acker) are living "off the grid" together - with Dad filling his kid in with all sorts of fake news - but when Troy gets injured and needs medicine, Jake starts a fling with troubled neighbor Henrietta (Alicia Silverstone) and learns the world is a very different place than he thought.  It looks all right, but it's too non-specific and the characters are not even remotely developed - Van Acker is treated like a "kid" but in reality he's in his mid-thirties - and it marches on to its nonsensical conclusion in which Pop is a misanthropic murderer ... and his own son has to finish him off (in order to "shield" Henrietta, the symbolic mother).  If it really thought it could go and insult my (limited) intelligence the way that it does, I can only say: as if.
