The Boss Baby: Family Business
Director: Tom McGrath
Year Released: 2021
Rating: 1.0
Man-child Tim (voiced by James Marsden) - who's now in his 40's - finds out his youngest daughter Tina (Amy Sedaris) can not only talk but she works for BabyCorp and she needs both him and his wealthy brother Ted (Alec Baldwin) to return to infant form (via a special serum!) to infiltrate the school of power-mad Dr. Armstrong (Jeff Goldblum) who wants to wipe out all adults. It's purely ludicrous from a storyline standpoint - and very old fashioned in its values - although it does try to cater to the adults stuck watching it with references only they'd get (Norma Rae, The Shawshank Redemption, Masters of the Universe, etc.). As with all the other Dreamworks productions, it's consistently spazzy: faces continuously twist and contort in a freakish manner, but that same energy spreads to every aspect of it as well ... like a freak on speed, it never pauses, racing frenetically through all the wacky scenarios.
