A college dropout named Steve (RJ Mitte) returns to his hometown and stops by a local watering hole run by Paul (Peter Outerbridge) that he owes money to and the two men start trading tales. It's challenging enough to tell a single story efficiently, but using flashbacks (and flashbacks within flashbacks) doesn't work here - the payoff is the equivalent of a shrug - and to make things worse the acting is affected and the dialogue tries too hard to sound gruff (proper cursing is an art form). It has its origin as a stage play, so I'm curious if it works in that format ... although I doubt it.
