Tom and Jerry (2021) review

Right after scamming her way into getting a job for the Royal Gate Hotel in New York City, Kayla (Chloë Grace Moretz) is then given the task of trying to contain the lunatic antics of cartoon cat Tom and freeloading Jerry Mouse from interrupting a lavish wedding between celebrity couple Ben (Colin Jost) and Preeta (Pallavi Sharda) ... and she fails.  It couldn't have been easy trying to turn a twenty minute cartoon - with two mute and violent and indestructible creatures pummeling each other (parodied by Matt Groening with Itchy and Scratchy) - into a feature length movie, but this is a Strictly-for-the-Kids (under 10 years old) cornball effort, lazily lifting bits from the TV show and throwing in lots of songs for the TikTok crowd.  I hope the cast had fun making it because I had none watching it.
