Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Director: Terry Gilliam
Year Released: 1998
Rating: 3.0

Unfairly panned film deserves some sort of recognition for being so damn faithful to the source novel - the same people who disliked the picture made sure to note how landmark the book was. Disjointed, nonsensical, gratuitous and somewhat pointless ... which was Mr. Thompson's exact point. It's good to see Mr. Hoberman's name on the jacket - the late Mr. Siskel, if I recall, also found it interesting.
