A massive hurricane is approaching Puerto Rico so police officers Cardillo (Emile Hirsch) and Jess (Stephanie Cayo) are dispatched to get some stubborn residents out of an apartment complex - this means you, steadily coughing Mel Gibson - except a group of armed robbers are also there looking for stolen art. Since this came out summer of 2020 when there was nothing but discussion about police brutality, some critics and media outlets griped that it "centered on a Caucasian cop" who's "apathetic" without digging deeper to find that it's actually terrible in almost every other way: the plot is asinine, the soundtrack is just as bad and every tired police procedural trope is in there ... oh, and there's also a pig-eating tiger and the son of a Nazi. As much as it pains me to say it, Zahler does this type of thing with a little more creativity.
