Diamonds of the Night

Director: Jan Němec
Year Released: 1964
Rating: 1.0

Two young men are shown running frantically, with the sound of rifles being fired a little off in the distance.  They dash into the woods.  Then they walk.  There are close-ups of ants.  A tree falls.  Then the lads run a little more but their feet are sore.  At some point, a woman offers them bread, but that makes their mouths bleed.  A little later, they get captured by elderly hunters who chew with their mouths open.  The geezers turn their prisoners over to the authorities.  It's possible the teenagers get shot in the back, but maybe they don't.  There, I saved you an hour of your time.  (Did I mention this is supposed to be about the Holocaust?)
