We Summon the Darkness
Director: Marc Meyers
Year Released: 2019
Rating: 0.0
Three supermodels (Alexandra Daddario, Amy Forsyth and Maddie Hasson) masquerading as heavy metal fans attend a concert, take three guys back to their house and then try to kill them on orders from a fringe religious sect (run by Johnny Knoxville). Meyers, to his credit, made the surprisingly good My Friend Dahmer in 2017 - which captured the late 70's quite well - but this seems like it was written and directed by a Millennial with only anecdotal evidence of how things were in the late 80's (they were very different from now) and no ear for dialogue, no concept of logic, etc. I swear, I laughed harder at this clunker than I do most comedies, so if ridiculing bad filmmaking is your idea of fun, dive in.
