West and Soda

Director: Bruno Bozzetto
Year Released: 1965
Rating: 2.0

An animated "parody" of the American Western - made by the Italians - about a big bad baron who wants to marry independent owner named Clementine for her property, except she doesn't want anything to do with him, so in walks a mysterious hero ... who doesn't like firing weapons (he shot his analyst).  The Rocky & Bullwinkle-type animation is charming and all, but the central figures are kind of generic and at least half of the 'dialogue' consists of Clementine shouting "Johnny!" (it's also not a good sign when the most interesting character is an alcoholic dog).  I'm curious if it sounds better in its native language, because the English dubbing could have been better.
