Dangerous Lies (2020) review

Direct-to-Netflix "mystery" has Katie (Camilla Mendes) working as an assistant to lonely Leonard (Elliott Gould) - one day, Leonard dies and everyone eyes Katie and her husband Adam (Jessie T. Usher) as being behind it.  It might be too easy (and not fair) to go after the cast for their ... acting, so instead I'll place the entire blame on the production and script (by David Golden): not only is the title generic, so is the storyline, which feels like an amateur's attempt at writing a murder story.  In fact, the real challenge might be in trying to hold back the guffaws whenever something dumb happens ... and the last shot is a howler: maybe you want to bury the diamonds a smidge deeper.
