The House by the Cemetery
Director: Lucio Fulci
Year Released: 1981
Rating: 2.5
It's true that I have a soft spot for campy horror movies - especially really gory ones - so if they are not your thing you'll just have to leave me be. Not one of Fulci's best, mind you (although some may insist it is), but still very creepy in its B-movie simplicity (there actually is a monster living in the basement of the house, representing a common childhood fear). Illogical, yes, and whoever dubbed the little kid's voice needs to go, but as far as cheap thrills are concerned, I'm ecstatic.
