A couple (Jesse Eisenberg and Imogen Poots) go to look for a house for themselves and get taken to a neighborhood where every home is the same color, no one else is around and they can't leave ... plus they're given a "child" to raise, but the kid's some sort of screechy alien.  It's intended to be an allegory for the anxiety of marriage and childrearing (presumably among Millennials, which is the age group Eisenberg and Poots fall into), except the issue is it never really gets past the thesis stage and remains a little hollow (Poots tries to be a mother, Eisenberg slaves away digging his own grave) and it falls back on sci-fi "tricks" as it gets through the third act.  I have to give Finnegan (and co-writer Garret Shanley) credit for at least trying something new and different ... and for placing Eisenberg in a role in which he's not a total dweeb.
