Fall From Grace, A

Director: Tyler Perry
Year Released: 2020
Rating: 2.0

The Public Defender office assigns inexperienced attorney Jasmine (Bresha Webb) a case involving a woman, Grace (Crystal Fox), who allegedly murdered her photographer husband Shannon (Mehcad Brooks) ... but instead of accepting a plea deal, she brings it to trial (and botches up the defense).  Don't get me wrong, this is not a good movie by any means - there are multiple unintentionally funny moments and there are countless plot holes - but it takes such a wild and weird left turn in the third act that it actually becomes semi-interesting in a sloppy, What-In-The-Hell-Are-You-Thinking sort-of way and Mrs. Huxtable suddenly has a lot of explaining to do.  If you have to watch it - and it's almost so bad it's good - simply let the inanity play itself out ... and definitely don't try to calculate how many baseball bat blows to the head a human being could take and survive.
