Wealthy right-wing talk show host Lionel Macomb (Steve Coogan) gets an unexpected visit from his very bright niece Tess (Taylor Russell), whose mother (Lionel's sister) is supposed to be in rehab.  It's pretty clear where the plot is headed from the get-go: sweet, open-minded young lady "changes" the worldview of "hardened" older adult by reminding him of his own past and his poverty (childhood trauma!).  It's a reductive view of what makes the extreme right so hateful, and poor use of the snappy Coogan, but Neve Campbell is solid as Lionel's tolerant girlfriend.  For this very concept done considerably better, there's Oliver Stone's little-seen (and little-discussed) Talk Radio with Eric Bogosian's magnetic performance.
