Holmes & Watson

Director: Etan Cohen
Year Released: 2018
Rating: 1.0

Attempted 'parody' (ahem) of Sherlock Holmes (Will Ferrell) and Dr. Watson (John C. Reilly) as they bumble around their residence on Baker Street to try to find out (a.) where Moriarty is and (b.) who is trying to kill Queen Victoria.  Despite the built-in chemistry that Ferrell and Reilly have developed over time, almost none of this is all that entertaining (there's that dreaded PG-13 again) and some of the bits are downright moronic as they try to stuff the Queen into a box or chew on onions or clobber each other like Moe and Curly.  Another thing working against it: Holmes was created in order to be brilliant, so making him even partially an oaf goes against the already-established mystique, does it not?
