The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part
Director: Mike Mitchell
Year Released: 2019
Rating: 2.0
Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi (voiced by Tiffany Haddish) hatches a plan to marry Batman (Will Arnett), dragging all sorts of other superheroes to live in her kingdom, but Lucy (Elizabeth Banks) and Emmet (Chris Pratt) are justifiably suspicious - there to aid them is Rex Dangervest (Pratt ... but with more swagger), who may not be the most truthful fellow himself. Just like the first release, this is a Kids-Only movie (I'm guessing under 13 ... because why else would they need to explain what happens in Back to the Future?) and less explosively clever than The Lego Batman Movie with the "point" being: play nice with your sister and don't have an identity crisis (seriously? Fight Club?). Oh, and you should also trust people who sing songs about how Not Wicked they are. But it's Batman who has the only vital tidbit of advice: after Radiohead, you should check out Elliott Smith.
