Self-reflexive riot grrl comic book romp - after an incident where a French woman is raped, her and a compatriot (who murdered her 'anal' roommate) join forces and go on a hedonistic killing/screwing spree, shooting perverts, innocent business-types and pretty much everyone near them. Praised in some circles as being groundbreaking - hardcore pornography intermingled with a "standard" narrative - but I don't completely agree: it's just a product of the times, symptomatic of the modern wave of 'adult' filmmaking in which a new form of "realism" is sought after (other 'adult' works: The Lover, Jamon Jamon, Betty Blue, Pola X, everything Catherine Breillat makes). It's pretty silly, actually, and the level of acting is just what you'd expect from (real life) porn stars. The digital video works, though: hooray!
