Poor servant Massetto (Dave Franco) gets caught by his master Lord Bruno (Nick Offerman) canoodling with his wife (Lauren Weedman), so he flees and is rescued by a drunken priest (John C. Reilly) and given a job as a deaf mute in a convent, but three horny nuns (Alison Brie, Kate Micucci and Aubrey Plaza) take turns attempting to seduce him. Based, so, so loosely on a part of Giovanni Boccaccio's The Decameron, which Pasolini did in his 1971 adaptation, except unlike Pasolini's sultry/dirty approach, Baena's effort makes it seem like a dimwitted sitcom, encouraging his usually talent cast to 'improvise' the dialogue ... which is rarely funny (Fred Armisen reading out the characters' sins is a great scene, however: don't eat the blood). Should someone I know ever get imprisoned, I'm going to file away the lit-candle-on-a-turtle trick: it's so crazy, it just might work.
