Mod Fuck Explosion

Director: Jon Moritsugu
Year Released: 1994
Rating: 1.0

Rare Z-grade cult item from the mid-90's features a young rebel named London (Amy Davis, a.k.a. Mrs. Moritsugu) getting in between two rival gangs, the Mods and a group of Asian bikers, and in desperate need of a leather jacket ("I hate high culture"). It can't be faulted for not having any energy - this is the kind of dopey art school project people volunteer to be in because it sounds like a fun way to spend a few afternoons - and things like character development and coherent plotting are considered irrelevant (and square); the collective work of the Kuchars and Richard Kern and even the documentary God Speed You! Black Emperor (not the band) most likely had an influence. My favorite line: "I've got to save my juice for the fight!"
