Bela Lugosi-lovin', overalls-wearing Bianca (Mae Whitman ... her?) has two very attractive female friends, Casey (Bianca Santos) and Jess (Skyler Samuels), but is told by her jock neighbor Wesley (Robbie Amell) that she's their "DUFF," or "designated ugly fat friend," which makes her question her whole personal life (and 'unfriend' them on social media ... the horrors!). Dumb teen movie that works hard to make Whitman look like a buffoon and humiliate her repeatedly - naturally, she wins the day at the last minute and "gets" the "hot guy" (how ... progressive). It's too pandering and more awkward than funny, plus the conscious attempt to be techno-savvy/hip is #playedout.
