Z for Zachariah
Director: Craig Zobel
Year Released: 2015
Rating: 1.0
Humans have (once again!) destroyed themselves (nukes, I'm guessing) with poor ol' Ann (Margot Robbie) thinking she's the last one alive (tucked in some valley) - eventually she encounters engineer John (Chiwetel Ejiofor) ... and later, miner Caleb (Chris Pine): love triangle, commence! Early suggestions at Bigger Meanings - on religion and race - are never explored (although the Church does become a generator ... Science-As-God?) and the 'romance' aspect to it is inconsequential since Zobel gets coy with what happens to Pine and his characters were never that developed in the first place. The most curious thing about it: Australian Robbie's Southern accent.
