The adorable title kitten (yes, named after Mr. Reeves, who provides its non-meowing voice) escapes a shootout in a drug-manufacturing facility and ends up in the caring arms of photographer Rell (Jordan Peele, who also co-wrote the script) and then stolen from him (!), so Rell and suburban buddy Clarence (Keegan-Michael Key) get involved with street gang The Blips (led by Method Man) to steal him back. For being a jokey riff on Reeves' movie John Wick - they claim it isn't, but come on - it has its moments (seeing Anna Faris drugged out and playing Truth or Dare is a nice bit) and the banter between Key and Peele can be amusing (it helps that they've worked together extensively in the past), though making the leap from sketch comedy to feature length movie is (as history has shown) not always easy: there are just too many stale gags (teaching hoods about George Michael? Really?). If the "Allentown Boys" really are from A-town, Pennsylvania ... everyone should be scared.
