Six actual plane crashes (five resulting in fatalities) are theatrically re-enacted, with the dialogue taken straight from the flight recorders. Though allegedly valuable as a teaching tool - the Pentagon has used it - it doesn't have much artistic value (aside from its tense setting): it's essentially six monotonous horror shorts with the audience waiting for the inevitable demise of the (unseen passengers, seen pilots) at the conclusion of each segment. Being incredibly weak on my pilot lingo I was unsure what was exactly happening in each piece (I needed to do research following the viewing to find out the particulars of each incident), which makes things all the more vague.
