Escape From Tomorrow
Director: Randy Moore
Year Released: 2013
Rating: 2.0
While on vacation with his wife and two children in the Magical Realm of Disney, recently fired Jim (Roy Abramsohn) starts experiencing hallucinations and the Land of Make Believe turns into a marital nightmare (he doesn't help matters any by chasing after underage French girls). More impressive as an exercise in guerrilla filmmaking - director Moore did not have permission to film in either Disneyland or Disney World and the Disney people weren't exactly pleased with the stunt (though they later 'accepted' its existence) - than an attempt at surrealism, as it's shapeless and a bit amateurish. It owes a debt to Eraserhead without reaching that movie's level of twistedness ... although voluntarily paying $8 for a single emu leg is outrageous.
