"Something" is terrorizing a woman (Elizabeth Olsen) inside a house her father and uncle are renovating, although anyone paying even the slightest bit of attention should figure out the movie's "big secret" within the first ten minutes (huge clue: Olsen complains about her 'head' being 'funny' early on). You know a movie's in trouble when a decent performance by Olsen still can't make it even remotely compelling, as it all comes down to aesthetics: it's supposed to look like it was shot in a single take (it wasn't), and the camera wiggles and shakes and flickers and flashes - if it can't make you think, at least it tries to look like it's scary (which it isn't). All in all, it's a whole lot of nothing.
