Waitress Amanda Seyfried, once a victim (and lucky survivor) of a kidnapping in the woods, discovers her sister is also missing and is convinced the kidnapper is the same one who took her. Aside from a nifty ending awash in vindictive Grrl-Power, this is by-the-numbers mechanical screenwriting: each and every person Ms. Amanda speaks with gives her a new Hint about the tormentor's whereabouts so the story can casually move ahead; she's given the task of looking crazed and fevered (which is something of a challenge for her). Moral of the story: never trust the police and the police don't believe women's stories.
