Blood Feast 2: All U Can Eat
Director: Herschell Gordon Lewis
Year Released: 2002
Rating: 0.0
Lewis' first film made in thirty years ... and he should have stayed retired. The grandson of the original murderer/madman/cannibal in the first Blood Feast has grand-dad's penchant for killin' them bitches and cookin' their brew while the local cops fail to put two and two together as to what's going on, distracted by their own idiocy and Lewis' need to keep this running on and on and on (this should take no longer than one hour). The 'dated' elements of Lewis' notoriously stupid gore pictures from the '60s and '70s - with their grainy film stock and go-go music - lend those pictures a strong curio factor (I admit to finding The Gore Gore Girls to be at least mildly amusing), while this movie, with its 'cleaner' visuals, just doesn't have the same trash appeal. It picks up for a few choice seconds when John Waters shows up as a priest to make advances towards males of questionable age.
