Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
Director: Ben Sharpsteen
Year Released: 1937
Rating: 3.0
Now classic fable of beautiful girl imprisoned and then escaping from the Wicked Queen, meeting up with the Seven Dwarves, and eventually meeting her Prince Charming, who awakens her from a deep sleep. A grand example of technical craft and a landmark of animation techniques - it still holds up today - but for me, personally, Snow White's voice is mighty annoying. It's not my favorite Disney film but it's still something film fans must see; Snow White, for its makers, was a labor of love.
